This is an early Griswold No 7 cast iron baking gem pan in excellent restored condition. There are only three variations of this pan and this appears to be the 2nd variation. The 3rd variation is the rarest and contains the. Pattern number opposite of the series number. If I hold this pan at a certain angle, it looks like there is a very faint pattern number.

But just cannot be 100% certain. So, I'm call it a 2nd variation. Cups are 3-1/2" x 2-1/4". No chips, cracks or repairs. Item was stripped down to bare metal using collector approved lye bath and electrolysis treatments.

This process ensures the removal all residue from previous use making it safe to use once more. Item is lightly seasoned with one round of Crisco at 450 for 1 hours. This item were photographed in very bright light to highlight fine details. Under these lighting conditions, item will take on a brown color. Items are much darker under normal light.
